The Balanced Women Network (BWN) launched its “Hope on the Street” initiative in Accra on November 18th, 2017, with the mission of spreading joy and providing essential support to vulnerable individuals. Through this project, we collected and distributed vital items such as food, beverages, clothing, and hygiene essentials to those who need them most.
OUR FOCUS
``Hope on the Street`` is dedicated to reaching out to homeless individuals, those physically challenged, and others living in poverty across the streets of Accra, offering them the support and care they deserve.
THE NEED
In Accra, many people struggle with a lack of access to basic necessities, such as nutritious meals, proper clothing, and hygiene products. These challenges often leave them feeling hopeless and alone, which is where ``Hope on the Street`` steps in to make a difference.
THE IMPACT
Distribution of hundreds of care packages, including food, beverages, clothing, and hygiene essentials.
Coverage of critical areas, including Efua Sutherland Park, National Theatre, Accra Post Office, Nima, and Accra Mall.
Support for homeless individuals and amputees, not only through material donations but also by offering prayers and meaningful engagement.
